I usually ignore such nonsense, but since this misleading claim can be so easily and quickly debunked:

And if he was a Republican, so what. Right Wing Conservatives love to take a fact and then twist it to their own ends. Add Martin Luther King Jr to the list of distortions and flat out lies the Right Wing will because according to them Jesus hated the poor, loved guns and hated women.
